The product descriptions come from the manufacturer. The reviews come
from actual normal people (not that Diana is normal) who try these
things out at home.

The cradles do seem to be a little fussy. I know I had a Seidio Innodock
for my 650 that worked fine. When I got the 700 it worked for a while
and then stopped. Not only would it not sync, inserting my Treo
generally resulted in my computer getting a message "your usb device was
not properly installed" blah blah blah. Fortunately, I never throw
anything away, and pulled it out when I got my Centro to see if it would
fit. It charged and sync'd like new. (I tried, and it still wouldn't
work with the 700!)

So your Palm cradle *might* sync your Centro while Diana's wouldn't.
