Initiate is quite different from all other launchers out there. The first time
I tested it out, I uninstalled it within 15 minutes, and didn't try it again
for a year or two. The second time I tried it, I dutifully followed the
tutorial its author sends you over a period of days, bit by bit. Now I swear
by it, and don't see a reason to use a different launcher. All other
launchers seems to be just different ways of presenting different categories
of applications. Initiate gives you a very quick way to find an application,
contact or memo.
For instance, you can find things by typing their first letter, followed by
any other letters in their name, even if you skip some, as long as they're in
order. So 'fm' will find FileMan and FormTool.
I use only one view under Initiate: Power User View.
