Though I use a Sprint Centro, I can tell you that PowerHero (http://hobbyistsoftware.com/power-hero-more.php) helps keep my device from draining like that. I have it set up to turn Infrared off after 2 minutes of inactivity and Bluetooth off afer 3 minutes of inactivity. The latter setting makes a big difference. I also have it set my device to turn Bluetooth on whenever it's plugged in and to never turn Bluetooth off when it's paired. Since I only use Bluetooth when in the car, I always plug in the device when driving so I know Bluetooth is on then. One of the most useful Treo software applications I ever purchased.
