I use BackupMan and NVBackup in tandem.  I have been
using BackupMan for years.  I like its ability to
automate backups, the ability to do selective restore
or full device restore, and it has proven reliable
for years, going back to at least my T2 if not my
m515.

I started using NVBackup once I had a NVFS unit (my
first TX) and found that similarly reliable, and actually
better for 'full device' restores.

I can't say that either are necessarily better than
Resco, because I haven't run Resco, but I can tell
you that I encountered so many issues with the more
recent versions of BackupBuddy that I eventually abandoned
the backup part of Hotsync altogether (because BackupBuddy
won't uninstall, and I don't want to go to the agonizingly
annoying process of removing and reinstalling Palm
Desktop and Hotsync software).

I'm looking forward to Apple's Mobile Me and/or other
opportunities to backup into the cloud.  Verizon's
initial foray is certainly cludgy and not worth installing
the applications for.

 One person's opinion.  YMMV.
