I use Resco because of its versatility. It will allow you to restore by 
app, restore only pim data, and keep multiple backup profiles.

Since you've just done a hard reset and found things working well, use 
this as forced housekeeping, and install your apps again from scratch. 
Take the opportunity to download the latest versions of each and pay 
careful attention to make sure things are still running smoothly or find 
out what was causing your problems.
