Hi all, My windows mobile 6 Treo 750 has the inbox as a default on the left had soft key anyway, and it's easy to pin anything to The start menu.
It was once said that one of the advantages of Palm OS was that any function was no more than 3 key presses away. I reckon my Treo is pretty much there too. I read criticism of Windows Mobile 6 on other devices ~ that it's slow and buggy, or you can't use it one handed, But I've never had any of these issues on my Treo 750, I guess Palm did a hell of a job tweaking the OS ?. I like having the feel of the same OS on my handheld device as my home and work computers and synchronisation and file compatibility is excellent If you want to make Win Mob 6 look prettier then install Spb Mobile Shell: http://tinyurl.com/2hn4h9 I've looked at other products like the TyTn 2 (Tilt) and tried them in the phone shop but a Treo still feels 'right' in your hand and at your side. No-one has done this form factor as well as Palm. Regards, Mike Dyer. ----------- 4a. Treo 800w Posted by: "Levi Wallach" [EMAIL PROTECTED] lwallach Date: Wed Jul 9, 2008 9:51 am ((PDT)) Ok, I know that the vocal majority here would rather chew off their left hand then use a Windows Mobile device, but Treonauts.com just posted a new preview of the very soon to be released 800w: http://blog.treonauts.com/2008/07/sprint-treo-800.html Four more days, or so they say! Looks like they've built in enough software for the GPS that we don't even need to purchase additional software. To think I had to shell out $250+ for TomTom! Looks like all the expected features are there, but of course this isn't a hands-on preview, so there's no word how the screen or keyboard (or phone itself) feels/looks. They did put an inbox button on the phone. This was one of the hard parts to get used to going from a 700p to my current 700wx, now I'm going to have to remap my brain/fingers yet again! I'm a little nervous about how long the battery will last with wifi and/or gps on, but, heck, I can always buy an extra battery or two, right? lol Levi
