I’m pretty sure you change your Palm profile e-mail at “Manage my Device” on
the Palm website.

I am not sure this is about Motion Apps. I think I am doing something wrong
here! Right now my biggest problem though is trying to figure out how to
change the email address I gave as my palm profile. I wasn't thinking and
didn't register with the address I use for google calendar

My Sprint Store invited me to a class on using the Pre tonight. I am glad I
registered for it because I am not getting very far on my own!

I agree, but let’s be clear. I was only referring the use of native WebOS apps.
Classic is not as good as I hoped it would be out of the gate, and the virtual
5 way should be working much better than it does. I now understand why Palm
decided to leave the legacy apps to a third party developer. But give them a
chance. There’s lots of work left to be done to get everything working as well
as it can. Be sure to let MotionApps know about your problems; they have a
large stake in making things work well.

I am finding it to be a different experience and just not thinking about it
Classic is where I feel you should be using the ring and there is only a
virtual one on the screen. I am not loving Classic btw, I can't get my programs
to accept their registration numbers.

I miss the ring though when trying to correct typos. Hard to get into small
spaces. Iphones have a little magnifing glass for that. Not sure yet how to
make this easier on the pre.

I rather unexpectedly do not miss the 5 way at all. The gesture concept is

very powerful, and some of it is done under the screen, where the 5 way used

to be. I can also use the Pre one-handed just as well as the Treo, maybe

more so, even opening and closing the keyboard, and a lot can be done

without ever opening the keyboard. I would say almost all of maneuvering can

be done with just the thumb, with the Pre resting on the fingers. Sure, it

has to go across the whole screen, but the Pre is smaller and lighter than

my 700p, and is much easier to handle.

I'm sure I will, Bill, but as I don't have a Pre yet, I can't base

that on significant experience.

The more I think about how I use my Treo/Centro, the more I'm worried

about not having a D-pad. I really *like* being able to do 90% of

what I need to do with just slight thumb movements. Having to move my

fingers all over the screen all the time may get old quickly. I hope

not, but that's my fear.
