Just read on treo central they don't recommend using the same batteries. Wish
a source that wasn't trying to sell batteries would clear this up. We have a
number of centro batteries here also.

I sure hope so, since I have three Centro batteries and the optional wall
battery charger. For me, it all works well. It would be awesome if it all works
the same way when I get my Pre (via VZW in a few months).

I'm 99% sure that's wrong.
My Centro battery (Palm standard) is a 3.7V, 1150mAh Li-Ion battery
(Type 157-10079-00)
I bet the Pre's is exactly the same, or close enough to be totally swappable.
