I loved the Treo Pro but my only problem is the small print in internet explorer, opera and skyfire. It was very frustrating to be reading something on google reader, click on the link and not be able to read what the webpage.
I have to use a blackberry tour for this month (we needed an international phone) so I turned the Pro off. While I like the Pro better than the Blackberry, this device is much better for reading pages online and for pdfs. It will be hard going back. Call in the middle of the night and talk to someone a level up who specializes in smartphones - despite what I have read in forums, I have always had good luck with their customer service. -- sent from my Treo www.TammyEmam.com voice message 404-879-7081 -----Original Message----- From: Gail Date: 8/15/09 8:47 pm To: [email protected] Subj: [Treo] Re: Considering a Palm Treo Pro Thank you Don and everyone who responded to my Pro question. Today I picked one up from Sprint. -- a little background: I've had my Centro for 2 yrs now and its been a great phone, but the screen is sooooo small and I wanted WiFi, GPs, etc. I tried the Pre and the battery was terrible, so returned it. Now I'm trying the Pro and from what I've seen today, it seems like a GREAT phone. It certainly has all the bells and whistles. The only thing I've seen so far that I don't like is the Internet Explorer == i.e. everything is soooo small print. Is there a work around for the Explorer? Someone mentioned using "Opera"???. Is it better than Explorer and how do I get it on the phone? Is the font larger? Also I believe there is voice dial capability on the phone, but I cannot figure out how to use it. Even the Sprint store couldn't help me. There is no button to push or a menu to use that I can find. Thank you all for your help. Gail in Wisconsin > > The key difference is the operating system.
