I was amazed that the first month of my Treo, I used around 2GB. (And I didn't even stream that much, watch youtube, etc...) I was SHOCKED. I am guessing the Pre is just a little more 'Chatty' on the network, sucking up data on its own. I had thought the same thing re the limit, but there was some discussion recently about this, I thought it was here but I guess it was elsewhere, and one person seemed pretty adamant that the limit was only for data cards. But who knows! It does seem like you could easily get the Pre to go over that limit if you have lots of large email attachments, stream pandora all day, take lots of pictures and email them, not to mention downloading new applications (unless them somehow don't count that). Of course if you have wifi turned on, it will take a lot of that bandwidth away, but there's no requirement to do that...
