I have FB on my Verizon 755p and have not experienced this problem. Maybe it's how you have the 755p set up. Also, remember to go the Preferences panel and TURN OFF the phone's attempt to synchronize date, time and location (set it to 'nothing'). Once you set the date and time (after a reset, for instance), turn it off.
Otherwise the phone will incessantly look for a connection. That slows it down plenty. Harold [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
