I've thought about the universal search thing and how it might work.  I
really hope that someone figures out a way to patch it or that Palm opens up
that part of the API.  There are hundreds of things you could do with that,
including as you said, not search-oriented, but rather input-oriented.   I'm
sure we'll get there, but it might have to wait till WebOS 1.3 or 1.4 (or
later) :(
