No, it won't require new hardware, but it might not be as compelling an 
experience for you. IOW, 2.x is different enough from 1.x (IMO) that it pays to 
wait.  In contrast, webOS 1.4 is just a point-upgrade, so it adds a bit of 
functionality without changing the overall experience.

Read up on it...you'll get better info on Android other places than on this 
list.
