My advice is to not attempt to sync with Palm Desktop any longer. It's
an app that is no longer supported (so bugs won't be fixed) and you're
much better off, frankly, syncing to a cloud service if you want
desktop editing access to calendar, email, and contacts.  Just my 2
cents.
