My VZW Pre does not have that bar at the top. At first I thought it might be a
Sprint vs. Verizon thing, but my son's Pre is on VZW too and he has it.
Is there a way to reinstall or refresh the Messaging app, or any other
suggestion on how to fix this?

Conversation on left, Buddies on right. Tap one or the other.
