I primarily am a writer, secondarily a photographer. My normal shooting
tool is a Canon SX10IS. Shoots great stuff, nice optical zoom, shoots
.mov video as well as stills. How nice it would be to upload video or
stills to my paper without needing to find a WiFi.
If the Pre becomes a video camera with 1.4, it'll help, but even
then only for quick-breaking stuff when the Canon isn't along.
What I can do now is offload the Canon to the PC and transfer to
the Pre by USB. Except my netbook runs on Ubuntu, and I'm about to have
to buy a USB CD-drive so I can replace the Ubuntu with XP so I can ...
It'd be so much nicer with a zoomIt-like device - or if the EyeFi
card works. I'll be interested in Craig's results on that front, since
belief that it won't has kept me from buying one.
