My google maps was looking for location through google services. I changed it
gps services & I get to c my location. Thanks for the help.

you change the settings under Menu > Location Settings > Preferences. Under
"Locate Me Using", try it with Google Services turned on and then try it
with that set to off. I usually get better accuracy with that turned off.
Others have commented that Google maps works better if you have the VZ
Navigator app turned on even if you do not subscribe to VZ Navigator.
