Without hijacking the Treo group (and since I still use the Treo, but as a
PDA while I wait for all my data to get ported over), I can comment on a
week with the HTC Incredible, and, more particularly, Android.

I miss the hardware keyboard --- a lot, but I can see where it's something
I'll learn to live with. Ironically, there is a company betatesting a
product called Swype which appears to be a grafitti-like interface for
Android (and the old shall become new.....) I, myself, am not in that
betatest group.

I have not found a single application which will enable me to sync tasks
between desktop and smartphone the way Palm's Hotsync (or Agendus, my app of
choice) did. So my Treo still has my todo list. Also, I miss Handyshopper,
but there are equivalents and that loss is not quite as painful.

SplashID, another invaluable tool, is already out for Android and works very
nicely.

The larger screen (than the Treo and than the Pre or Pre Plus) is quite nice
on my middle-aged eyes.

The size is exquisite. It's very thin, even in a case, and fits anywhere
and weights virtually nothing. It reads/writes to microSD cards up to 32g
(and I have a 16g in it). The regular sized headphone jack and bluetooth
interfaces are way beyond the Treo 755p (2.5mm jack, jack issues, bluetooth
issues).

I am fairly certain that I will keep the unit and not switch to WebOS and
Pre.

And when HP asks me to tender my Palm shares, I'm done.

Look for my spare Treo 755p to go on ebay shortly, and when everything's
over to the Incredible, my old primary unit.

However, still thinking about holding on to my T|X. That screen.....

Harold
