I'm pretty sure this is the behavior you'll see on any wireless carrier 
here in the US.  In my experience, the caller name is not passed along 
for cell phones, so you only get caller number (unless the phone matches 
the incoming caller number to an entry in your contact list).

If AT&T is passing caller name along to your phone, I'd be impressed...
