Nope, I just went in and there are no such options in the preferences. But I did just try and my earlier guess was correct - when you get a call you can answer it by just opening the phone (sliding the keyboard out), without any patches, etc. If you want to be able to have the reverse happen (ie hang up when you slide it closed) you DO need a patch.
