There is a significant difference between a gift n a skill…Jesus
was skilled to be a carpenter by his earthly father, Paul was a skilled tent
maker, David was a good shepherd, Peter was a fisherman but all these men had
something greater inside of them…something that could take them way further
than their skills…Sometimes n on a daily basis we use our skills to get
by and there is a chance that we could end up being caught in them for the rest
of our lives…Jesus, after His resurrection found the disciples back at
the fishing trade, and He called them out to be fishers of man….The
destiny of our lives lies in the gift inside of us and we need to seek God so
that He reveals that gift to us…lest we wallow in mediocrity bcoz we have
been busy perfecting our skills…but remember David, while bringing lunch
to his brothers stumble upon his destiny, and Paul while on a mission to kill
ran into Christ….you never when u will just stumble upon your destiny and
your gift will manifest…but  as Pst Tom says don’t wait for
God to move, and as you move God will be strong on your behalf…

1Ti 4:14
Do not neglect the gift in you, which was given you by prophecy, with the
laying on of the hands of the body of elders.

2Ti 1:6
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you
through the laying on of my hands,

2Ti 1:7
for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Prov 18:16

> I ask you today what is ur gift? Has ur gift brought you before great men
or u r busy using it to satisfy worldly desires?

> I am not sure what my single gift is but what i am certain of is that the
grace of God is upon me and therefore i do not fear coming into the presence of
great men. I am often asked this question by my workmates, why do you not fear
and where do you get your confidence from, and my response is it is the grace
of God within me, it is not i that lives but Christ that lives in me, my hope
of all Glory.
