Amen Simba! It seemed that David knew God as his refuge in such a personal way. In Psalm 62 he says when my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the rock that is higher than I. May we all grow to know the Rock of Ages personally. May we (myself included) continually run to Him for refuge! May we have testimonies such as David about how God was our defence and He was the Rock of refuge for us. Like you said Simba sometimes it takes you just acknowledging that.
