You might try an adapter to check it in another computer.  I use an external SATA-to-USB cable when doing things like checking drives on my Linux PC.  You can get one of these adapters from Amazon for $6.35 + $2 ship to adapt the Dell form factor to SATA: https://smile.amazon.com/Adapter-2-5in-Converter-Solid-Drives/dp/B098JNTMYL/
