Understood, but they aren't the Inspiron series. Being "Dell Pro Authorized" I can tell you don't use the Inspiron for Linux. The CP series is an excellent one.
FYI...Inspiron is the low end laptop from Dell. Again, I've had the best luck with Toshiba's. And you can get really good one's really cheap from their website directly. AND the don't bitch if they have Linux on them. -----Original Message----- From: Chris Knowles [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, April 15, 2002 11:23 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [TriLUG] Laptops Gotta disagree. Been using Redhat on Lattitude LM, CP, and LS series laptops and while it hasn't all been tea and honey, it's been an overall positive experience. The only problem is suspend mode, which with some patient tweaking you can get working. So, to sum... Dell not BAAAD, just not PERFFFECT. Also, Dell tech people don't even bat an eye when you call in and say you've got linux on there... CJK On Mon, 2002-04-15 at 10:46, Chris Hedemark wrote: > DELL BAAAD! > > Baby in my lap.
