Keep in mind that the Win95 system is not in working order, it's R.I.P. All I need is to be able to copy a lot of data files off the hard drive onto a CD-R. I can see the files and even open them. I just can't get my CD-RW software working under Knoppix. I'm assuming that it is possible to create and burn CD's under Knoppix (which may not be a safe assumption). I do have one question: "What is microbrew?" It sounds like something which you would make at home. For example, in the amateur radio community "homebrew" refers to ham equipment which you've built yourself :-)). --73, Al Johnson. ============================ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Ray" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, June 04, 2003 4:10 PM Subject: RE: [TriLUG] Knoppix revisited...again
Win95? No prob. Show up with a six pack of microbrew. I'll have your data on a CD in no time with a good ole DOS floppy boot to a network. > -----Original Message----- > From: al johson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Wednesday, June 04, 2003 3:53 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [TriLUG] Knoppix revisited...again > I'm trying to > retrieve stuff from (an old defunct Win95 O.S. is on it) _______________________________________________ TriLUG mailing list http://www.trilug.org/mailman/listinfo/trilug TriLUG Organizational FAQ: http://www.trilug.org/faq/TriLUG-faq.html _______________________________________________ TriLUG mailing list http://www.trilug.org/mailman/listinfo/trilug TriLUG Organizational FAQ: http://www.trilug.org/faq/TriLUG-faq.html
