I forgot to actually state my opinion on how it should be set when I replied moments ago... I prefer reply-to to go to the list by default. It is in fact a list and most conversations will be held within the confines of the list. However, you have to think about what was said below by Phil, yes, someone may specifically set a reply-to, say on something offered (like hardware) which only requires off-list replies. Still, some email clients do things differently than others, so there's no guarantee the reply-to is there for a specific message b/c the sender wanted it to be there.
I certainly feel reply-to should include the list email. I'm un-opinionated as to whether it should be stripped or not first. laters, David M. --- Phillip Rhodes <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > And if nothing else I'd say we should leave it on principle... > If a user sent an explicit Reply-To I think we should respect it. > > > TTYL, > > Phil > > -- > When the 1st Amendment no longer protects your voice. > And when the 4th Amendment no longer protects your privacy or your stuff. > Thank God we have the 2nd Amendment to tell our elected representatives > that enough is enough. > It's time to put "... from my cold, dead hands" back where it belongs. > > FREE AMERICA > Vote Libertarian > www.lp.org > > -- > TriLUG mailing list : http://www.trilug.org/mailman/listinfo/trilug > TriLUG Organizational FAQ : http://trilug.org/faq/ > TriLUG Member Services FAQ : http://members.trilug.org/services_faq/ > TriLUG PGP Keyring : http://trilug.org/~chrish/trilug.asc __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
