Be careful what you buy. Cheap LCD's will most likely end up with a horrible experience (bad resolutions, fuzzy fonts, etc).

Also, you can buy a good LCD and get the same bad experience by hooking it up to a computer with an older video card.

Know also that LCD's cannot get you in the same resolution if you're one of those that like 1400 x 1050 (or tighter -- gotta see all that code!).

Lastly, consider ergonomics and how you plan to use the display. Where will it sit, how close will it be to your face, etc?
