ClarkConnect is a linux distribution maintained by PointClark Networks of Toronto. It has been based on RedHat products for a long time. The 3.0release is based on FC2, and the new 3.1 release is based on CentOS 4.
I have upgraded every time they have come out with a new release, and only once did I have a significant problem with my prior settings. I was actually amazed how smoothly 2.2 -> 3.0 and 3.0 -> 3.1 upgrades were. Once small exception this last time, they replaced ISC DHCP with dnsmasq which required a work around (but they provided instructions and alternative packages, so it was easy). The 3.1 release notes talk a little bit about the changes from RHEL 4 to CC 3.1: http://www.clarkconnect.com/info/3.1.php I have always been surprised that CC doesn't get more coverage inside TriLUG. Everytime I bring it up someone on the Steering Committee says, "...so you're doing a program on it when?" Personally, I think it is the very best turnkey gateway/firewall solution for home and small business -- but I don't get to say things like that out loud. :) Israel On 7/27/05, David Rasch <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > On Tue, Jul 26, 2005 at 06:32:23AM -0400, Kevin Flanagan < > [EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > > Hash: SHA1 > > > > If you want a standalone server to just serve up the photos, or a more > > general purpose setup it's pretty easy.
