I do see a 'Voice QoS' on the voip router -- it says
Enabled @ 256 Kb/s
I am not downloading when I hear the hiccup ( .25-.5s of dead silence).

doubtful. get a wrt54g, place the vonage box behind it, and set up
QoS for the ports that vonage uses (i need to do this myself since i
just got vonage in the new house). jbroome can probably shed some
light on this, i know he was playing around with QoS for his vonage
device. and i suspect jonc will chime in too with some helpful advice :)

I get quarter second gaps from time to time when listening
to long distance calls. Previously, my vonage voip/router
box was behind my main router. I moved it in front so
it goes
tw_cable_modem --> linksys_vonage_router --> main_router
The old setup had the routers reversed.
I have a single ip address from twc.
Does anybody know if this will work better?
