MythTV does indeed include modules for CD and DVD ripping as can be
seen here:

The CD ripper feature is about in the middle of the page and the DVD
ripper is second to last.
I haven't yet built a usable MythTV box, but there are some in the
LUG that have.
My Hauppauage WinTV-PVR card should arrive in a few days though, so
it shouldn't be long before I have first hand experience. :)
