I went to allOfMp3.com a few months ago but I could not bring myself to typing in my credit card number into a site that might be run by a Russian crime syndicate. I did not see any other options for payment at the time. Does anyone know if that has changed?

If you want something like wallmart music without the DRM there is always http://allofmp3.com. I believe the RIAA says it is illegal in the US, and I've certainly heard people say that it is run by a Russian organized crime syndicate, but the prices are tough to beat and you can download in your choice of format including Vorbis and FLAC. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AllOfMP3.com has some discussion on the legality of using the site in the US and other places.
