Chris just curious -- did you try uninstalling? (just in case) ? What linux are you using?

I started installing a large RPM package (VMware) and then decided I wanted to get the whole box updated before doing that (it was a new install). So I reflexively hit ctrl-c. It took it a while to respond, during which time I thought "hmmmm...maybe I should have just waited for it to finish".
