I founded too but in a rather different way, the removal of the "universe"
word did not help me.
I deleted the content of "/etc/apt/sources.list" and then run "gksu
software-properties-gtk" and check the repository's and the updates I want.
The sources.list should look something like:
deb http://archive.trisquel.info/trisquel/ dwyn main extras
deb http://archive.trisquel.info/trisquel/ dwyn-security main
deb http://archive.trisquel.info/trisquel/ dwyn-updates main extras
