How would I install amarok 1.4 (rollback from A2) on Trisquel? I'm not at all a fan of the A2 changes they did. Is my only option to compile it from src? Or is there some weird change I do with the package manager to pull from an unlisted repo?

Hello Psyber. You can try install A1.4 using debian packages. Compile is very complicate because you need devel packages. On Debian Lenny using by default A1.4 but I don't know if it's work good. I will have a backup of system before. Try to download this package and install with:

sudo dpgk -i *.deb
on the directory when you download the deb packages.

http://packages.debian.org/stable/amarok

If you need depend package you can use the Trisquel's repos with:

sudo aptitude install name_of_package

Aptitude is similar to YUM on Red Hat ;)

Trisquel is based on Ubuntu and Ubuntu is based of Debian (unstable and experimental). On Ubuntu's repo don't exist A1.4, only A2.2

Sorry for my english :)
