Indeed, transparency is one of this project's greatest weaknesses.
Developers, I urge you to set up an IRC channel, to use the Trisquel-devel list (http://listas.trisquel.info/pipermail/trisquel-devel/) as the primary mode of communication, and to release your unstable branch publicly. This will result in a more transparent process and less nagging from your users about when it's going to be done.
