For some reason with the 4.0 beta I'm having problems with Chinese subtitles,
such as these:

The subtitles display correctly in Totem (though they're white which makes
them hard to read at times), but when I use mplayer which I compiled and
installed they just show up as gibberish. In Trisquel 3.5 I had no problems
at all.
I'm guessing that this is just a lib*-dev file or something, but I can't seem
to figure out which one it might be.
Does anyone here have any idea?
