A friend of mine told me the command to get the supposed laptop date is  
wrong.

sudo dmidecode| grep "Release Date"
That command returns the BIOS date, which might not be the same date as the  
date that the notebook was released.
So, according to him, there is no command for that, you have to look in the  
manufacturer's page.
