The trisquel-* packages are meta-packages, i.e., packages that do not install
anything by themselves but depend on a bunch of other packages (that you
often want to install at once, hence the convenience of a meta-package).
Therefore, it is safe to remove a trisquel-* package. The only trouble is,
e.g., if quidam decides that a new software should be part of the default
Slaine install, he will make it a dependence of one of the trisquel-*
metapackage and only those having them will have the pleasure of discovering
this software after a regular update.
