Chromium with "chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra" was able to play on most YouTube
and Vimeo sites but DailyMotion said I needed Flash. Firefox was not as
capable when I disabled Flash. I know that H.264, AAC, and MP3 are not free
software, but is installing the "chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra" ok? I ask
because VLC plays the same formats but is free software and gets a pass from
the FSF in playing those "restricted" formats. Surely since VLC uses FFMPEG
and "chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra" uses FFMPEG as well, shouldn't it be in
the clear?
