[Trisquel-users] Switching full screen games to desktop without exiting the game ?

Is there a way to switch from a full screen game to your desktop without  
exiting the game, other than launching it in a different tty ?

I use something like startx warzone2100 -- :1 but I was hoping there is a  
simpler solution.
