I wonder how a flash thumb drive would work if used as a btrfs seed. Thus it would be a read-only drive in a copy-on-write setup.
I think this could be interesting as most files probably remain unchanged. Of course, flash is slower in sequential operations and many files change, some fairly rapidly and btrfs is still in testing, so no magic bullet here. :)
