One of the things I've always wondered is if the density of flash could be  
negatively impacting the results. If 64GB is the latest available in Micro  
SDHC then maybe 16 or 32GB would work better. I've always tended to use the  
most expensive density available given the limited space. However the results  
seem to impact all flash media from my experience.
