I am using Trisquel 5.5 :)
I downloaded the pidgin-otr .deb file from that webpage. I double clicked on
it. It gave me a warning:
A later version is available in a software channel
You are strongly advised to install the version from the software channel,
since it is usually better supported.
So I went to the command line and tried:
sudo apt-get install pidgin-otr
But yet again I failed to connect to the archive. I have tried all the
mirrors now.
If I install this older file from the webpage, will I get automatic update
notifications for it when they become available? Or does that only happen
when you install something from the channel?
