Thanks, baptistredbloom!

I went into default applications. (I had been there before.) I couldn't see Network Proxy there. Only default applications for web, mail, calendar, music, video and photos.

There was no sign of Network proxy anywhere. I couldn't see a way of adding Network Proxy there, either.

By the way, I tried to select gmail as default mail application but the setting would not budge from evolution...
