I'm using Linterna Magica version 0.0.12-1 (according to the source).   
Howsoever I installed it automatic updates happen. I'm also in the Youtube  
HTML5 'trial.'  Gnash is disabled.

I can watch what I used to be able to watch (i.e. are in my subscriptions)  
including stuff that uses the Youtube Flash method. I've also tried random  
other videos without problems.

I'm sorry I can't be any more helpful than to say it works for me.
