Are you sure it is not a protection from the browser ? I've found the same  
problem but only with Abrowser (at least on trisquel). When I tried to load a  
youtube video on any other Ditribution (even Parabola) with Firefox, Chrome,  
Rekonq, Konqueror, Midori etc... I never saw the "Click to Play" button :S...
