VLC, Evince, Fireefox and SharpE desktop Environment all run on windows 8
(though SharpE with some problems). It is definitely possible to run 3rd
party apps in wWindows 8 if you remember to unblock the non-certified ones
first. I haven't tried RT though. Say, Windows 8 is a golden opportunity for
businesses like ThinkPenguin. You should start running adds like this one:
