I think AMD is also implementing a version of trusted computing now in its  
CPUs. Whatever advantage there was is no more. I'm pretty confident Intel and  
AMD are going to discontinue CPUs without support for the technologies. Intel  
does not have out any third generation CPUs for laptops without trusted  
computing except for embedded and Ultrabooks.
