As much as I support free software, I don't think that video games have to be free software. Their primary users, children and teenagers, most likely won't benefit from the freedom to modify the software or distribute their modifications. Additionally, the requirements of license agreements will almost always pass right over their heads (they are likely to give copies of even proprietary programs to their friends).

So, besides "all software should be free", what reason is there to make games free software?
