Hello All,
My /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d folder is empty. Never seemed to have anything in it.
I tried the do-upgrade comand and after a prompt to change the source list to
which I said yes it comes up with:

If I use the update manager it ofers me to go to 6.0 but it then says

Authenticating the upgrade failed. There may be a problem with the network or
with the server.

I then went to the settings button on the upgrade manager and on the first
tab chose the main server and checked again for updates. I now had loads of
updates that needed to be done. I'll keep you posted when it is done.
